This is my second machine and I bought it because it seemed heavier duty than most in the price range. While the criticism about plastic parts is fair, the body is solid metal and heavy and the motor is extremely powerful. It's very easy to use, and the self adjusting tension is great, as I hate messing around with tension. the light could be brighter but overall I'm really happy with it. So far, all of the generic low shank feet I've bought have worked with it.

Wonderful machine. Powerful without 100's of fancy stitches which I never used on my previous machine (which lasted 30 years).
